Hi, glad to meet ya!

As we get ready to ring in the new year, I thought I would introduce myself! I’ve seen several new followers and I want you to be able to put a face with the name. I want you to feel good about where your beef comes from and to be there to answer any questions you have!

My name is Allie Barnhart. I have lived here in Central Missouri my entire life. Growing up, I was lucky enough to grow up right next to my grandparents but didn’t quite appreciate the impact that agriculture would have on my life. As a child, it is difficult to understand and appreciate the role of the family farm, however looking back, I now realize how lucky I am to have experienced it. We grew up eating fresh beef and produce from our garden. While I don’t quite have the green thumb my grandparents and parents do, I still put out a garden each year and hope for the best. I only hope one day, our children grow up and appreciate this lifestyle we live.

My husband Tim and I have been together since we were 17 and the rest is history. He comes from a long line of cattle farming and ranching. After we got married and I moved to the farm with him, I fell in love with farm life. When we began our own building our own herd, I wanted to learn as much as possible about cattle and how to create a sustainable farm and ranch. Of course, getting to help take care of the new babies doesn’t hurt!

Some facts about me;

  • I love to hunt, I find something peaceful about sitting in silence and watching the woods around you.
  • I love to cook and bake, especially old-school recipes. I really love using cast iron for just about everything.
  • I work off the farm full-time as well, who needs sleep!
  • I really love good country music, Whiskey Meyers is my fav!

I want to be able to be your beef provider! I want to share the many benefits of beef, both as a healthy part of your diet and as an important part of our natural ecosystem. As we move into a new year, I want to be here to answer any of your questions or concerns about beef. We truly believe in fighting for the continued success of family farms, just like ours!
